Responsible for implementing activities scheduled and assisting staff and residents during these times.
JOB DUTIES:
Responsible for life guarding during swim sessions, overseeing pool area, insuring appropriate evaluations and consent for residents.
Implement facility and community activities while assisting with active treatment as assigned.
Assist in planning, coordinating and monitoring scheduled activities as directed by Department Manager.
Be knowledgeable of Beverly Farm Foundation policies including the (Leisure time activity procedure) and the (Missing Resident Search Procedure) and be able to implement them if necessary during community events when in attendance.
Responsible for monitoring funds during outings and collection of unused funds upon returning from activity department community event.
Responsible for documentation and clerical duties as assigned by Department Manager including but not limited to Attendance list, Van sheets, and Participation sheet.
Responsible for following the building cleaning schedule as posted.
Assist in Resident Council sessions, compile and type notes and distribute.
Prepare activity areas prior to events, perform cleaning duties and secure recreation center after events.
Maintain communication with Department Managers regarding staff and resident issues.
Assist with training, supporting and monitoring volunteers and other Beverly Farm Foundation staff in their role during activity functions.
Assist to coordinate and participate in Special activity events including but not limited to Camp, Special Olympics, TLC, Venture Scouts, etc.
Events may include out of town travel, overnights, cooking and additional duties.
Maintain positive image and Beverly Farm Foundation mission while fulfilling role as Activity Leader.
Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsHigh School Education or Equivalent and ability to pass TABE test.
Life Guard Certification preferred but not a must at hire.
(Must obtain within 6 months after hire).
At least 1 year experience with MRDD preferred.
Maintain valid driver's license and proficiency at driving during day/evening and out of town activities using Beverly Farm Foundation vehicles.
Must obtain Med Certification per Rule 116, within 6 months after hire.
Must be able to work flex schedule that includes AM's, PM's, weekends and some overnight shifts.
Recommended Skills Cooking Recreation Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
