GENERAL
Summary:
Reporting to the Controller and serving as a member of the Leadership Team this position's primary responsibility is ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing central coordination of procurement and facilitates management.
Working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of strategies, processes and procedures.
The Operations Director position liaises with the CEO, Controller and other management staff to complete planning, organizing, and supervising processes and making necessary improvements to increase compliance and efficiency through the programs within facility management, transportation and procurement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES includes the following:
? Improves the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission -- specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.
? Manages and increases the effectiveness and efficiency of Maintenance & supply management through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support groups and program leadership.
? Oversees all contractors that work in the facility and grounds.
Coordinates all work with Beverly Farm staff and operations.
May request and review bids, and recommend selection of contractors.
? Interacts and communicates with all Beverly Farm employees providing prompt service and support in the areas of maintenance, operation and cleaning needs.
? Plays a significant role in long-term planning, including implementation of our strategic plan elements.
? Ensures that a proactive maintenance schedule is developed and followed.
? Advises management on maintenance issues and projects as requested and updates facility plans periodically as needed.
? Coordinates and manages projects and ensures tasks are carried out as planned and in a timely manner.
? Manages and provides reports on fleet services.
? Develops and completes operational reports on an ongoing and as requested basis.
? Develops annual plan of capital projects, consistent with the Beverly Farm's strategic plan and community needs.
? Develops budgets supporting the maintenance and cleaning needs of all facilities.
Plans, monitors and controls all expenditures consistent with budget.
? Assists with controlling resources to include staff hours and purchases.
? Assists with financial management to ensure the timely processing of accounts receivable, accounts payable and accounts collectable.
? Contributes to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the leadership team.
? Completes general compliance tasks related to property management.
? Participates in and provides data for the Quality and Safety Committees as requested.
? Reviews ongoing performance results to targets for direct reports.
Takes corrective measures with authorization and escalates as needed.
? Maintains a positive working relationship with all other company employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness.
? Determines and communicates areas of accountability and performance expected of personnel assigned.
? Responsible for working with other company employees to ensure maintenance and repairs and supplies at all locations are completed.
? Responsible for ensuring all account payable guidelines are being met.
? Responsible for maintaining records related to staff training and service authorizations.
? Performs other duties as assigned.
