Essential Functions:
Creating a classroom that is fun and supports play, exploration and learning Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment Advancing students physical and intellectual competence Supporting social and emotional development and providing both positive guidance and reinforcement Maintaining a commitment of professionalism with students, families, peers and management Assist the Director to ensure operation of the center meets all state licensing and accreditation standards, policies and procedures In the absence of the Director, is responsible for daily operations and assumes all Director responsibilities and duties Maintain the mission and philosophy of Montessori Children's House Establish and maintain effective relationships and communication with the children, families and staff Participate and provide leadership for the planning and implementation of annual program goals Qualifications and
Experience:
Possess an Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Development Have a minimum of two years of experience in a licensed child care facility A well-developed philosophy on the education of young children, which parallels the educational philosophy of Montessori Children's House Job Type:
